5 reasons why the Delhi University Student Union elections were duh

No glam posters: “The elections were very dull this year. When I was in school, I used to see DU’s election campaigning coverage on TV. It was like festival time with big posters all around and regular campaigning.” Rahul Rohilla, 1st year, B Com (Hons) Hansraj College.

No fanfare: “Last year, there were glamorous posters all around. We knew who the candidates were. This year, we voted without really not knowing much about the candidates.” Shashank Srivastava, 2nd year, B.Com (Hons) Aurobindo College.

No free goodies: “No disco dhamaal for us. All the free parties and goodies we thought were given to students was absent. I know that elections are necessary, but even students should have some fun, right?” Salman Qureshi, BA 1st year, Atma Ram College.

No flashy cars: “It was as if some department elections were taking place! We had heard stories of loads of money being spent on parties and big cars. I did not see any of it. How disappointing!” Gopal Varma, 1st year, Pol. Science,
Ramjas College.
