Earlier this year, when Emraan Hashmi was shooting for Ghanchakkar on the Eastern Express Highway in Mumbai, he got mobbed. It wasn’t the first time. In Old Delhi, while shooting for Jannat 2 (2012), fans had already let the man know how popular he is.

But the much-mobbed actor seems undeterred. So he decided to venture out onto a local train station — at Charni Road — in the middle of the day, earlier this week (October 23). This time, it was to shoot for director Kunal Deshmukh’s film, tentatively titled Shatir.

Surprise, surprise, he was mobbed again. “A large crowd gathered to get a glimpse of him. It became impossible for Emraan to even walk out and go into his vanity van parked outside,” says an eyewitness.

The schedule was delayed by an hour, until security hired by the film team could clear the area. Deshmukh says, “We started at 3 pm and shot till 7 pm. People gathered at the platform and over the bridge. It was hectic.”
