Chetan Monga, 24, a consultant from Chandigarh, came to thank the actor. “I was not able to woo my fiancee. When Imran wrote in his column that I loved her, she agreed to marry me,” said Monga.
Mass Comm student Jaap Chandok, 19, shared with the actor her doubts about a career in films. “I was rejected five times in the auditions for Delhi Belly,” Imran told the group, which also included student Srishti Gupta, 20, and actor Vikram Dawar, 24.
The actor handpicked the four for afternoon tea at the Island Bar in Shangri-La’s-Eros Hotel. Asked if he manages to find time for his fiancee, Avantika, given his schedule, Imran replied that she travels with him. As for his wedding date, he said, “I need to take a break from work and figure that out.”
