Halliwell got engaged to Politi just two months after they met in a nightclub in December last year.

Dailymail.co.uk reports that the whirlwind romance, however, came to an abrupt halt after the singer reportedly woke up last week and realised she "wasn't the marrying type".

"She loved being in a relationship but decided that all she needs is her daughter Bluebell to keep her happy. Fabrizio is upset but totally respects Geri's wishes," said a source.
