When shifting or buying a home, the first thing we head towards is to see how the bathroom is. And many a times decision to opt for the house changes if the bathroom doesn't visually appeal to us. But what if like a lucky few you don't have an option but to wake up every morning, bathing in a bathroom you spurn. Well! The best thing to give a face-lift to the bathroom is to accessorise it.
Change the look
"There is an increasing trend in using stylish accessories for bathrooms. Accessories now range from soap dishes, shower curtains, fitting such as: wash-basins, bath-cubicles, tubs, closets and a number of water resistant items," says Mandeep Nagi of Shades of India.
Seeing the demand of the bathroom accessories companies have started experimenting with materials such as: stainless steel, chrome-plated steel, ceramics and glass.
Right from using little accessories to transforming bathroom into a luxe space one can place things like; rain showers, multi-functional tubs, which massage, and televisions on wall - bathrooms have become a stress-busting zone. "From the bath being a merely functional space has evolved to be a personal spa," says Amitabh Bendre of Evok.
Mapping the trend
"Availability of traditional or contemporary bath-fittings can help inspire bathrooms," says Bindu Vadera of Varya.
"Picking up key pieces for the bathroom can add drama and transform the look of the bathroom," adds Vadera.
"Though bathroom accessories may start from thousand and can go upto lakhs but one can also give a unique look also just by placing a beautiful plant at one side of the corner,' says Nagi.
