It is in such a place that the old-fashioned reading will take its final bow. Here will be the last ever to be seen of those mad souls who spend hours browsing for musty paperbacks in wooden racks. Not yet seduced by Kindle or iPad, these people insist on smelling the pages of the book they want to read. They read in restaurants, in the Metro, on the road-dividers(!) A few years more and they will be no more than a dream remembered, a civilisation gone with the wind.
