"Good friend" SRK stands by Priyanka

While Gauri Khan openly snubbed Priyanka Chopra at SRK's Eid bash, Shah Rukh Khan defended her presence at the party. When quizzed as to why he invited Piggy Chops, this is what the actor had to say.

Gauri Khan openly snubbed Priyanka Chopra with all her friends at SRK's Eid party. And she reportedly didn't let Hrithik exchange cordiality with Priyanka. But it seems, either SRK was not aware of the friction or he chose to ignore the vibes.

On being asked by Mehr Jessia why Priyanka was invited despite so many people disliking her presence, SRK defended the actor.

A source told Mid Day, "Towards the end of the party, after many celebrities had left, Mehr pointed to SRK that not many people (including Gauri) were too fond of Priyanka. She asked him why Priyanka had been invited at all"

"SRK told Mehr that Priyanka is a very good friend just like she and many others were to him. And if she had any problems, Mehr should address them directly to Priyanka, and not question SRK about inviting her over for his Eid party," continues the source.

SRK stood up for Priyanka Chopra when she was undergoing a legal battle with ex-secretary Prakash Jaju. Piggy Chops also supported SRK during his IPL matches.

It's a known fact that Priyanka is an unabashedly huge SRK fan. Is this proximity beginning to bother Gauri? Speculations suggest an affirmative answer to this question.
