Actor Vivek Oberoi will tie the knot with fiancée Priyanka Alva tonight. The wedding, which will start at 8.30-9pm, will take place at Priyanka’s house in Bangalore.

The wedding was preceeded by a mehendi ceremony Thursday afternoon, and

in the evening, complete with

dholaks

and sweets. “At the sangeet ceremony, both families performed skits and danced till late in the night,” says a guest present at the ceremonies.

On Wednesday evening, the couple threw a pre-bridal bash for family and friends, where papa Suresh

Oberoi sang an old English melody, to which the couple performed slow dance.

“Vivek was dressed casually in denims while Priyanka wore a

lehenga

. Afterwards, songs from Vivek’s films —

Beedi Jalai Le

and

Tere Liye

— were played, and everyone made sure the couple danced to all the songs,” the guest adds. A lavish spread of Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines was laid out and the house was lined with yellow and blue lights.

The two will host a reception on Sunday at Mumbai’s ITC Grand Maratha, for which Bollywood A-listers such as film-makers Apoorva Lakhia, Ram Gopal Varma, and actors Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan and Dia Mirza, have been invited.
