“All these link-ups are baseless, as I have not been dating anyone for the last two years. I am very much ­single,” says the of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who debuted in 2012 with filmmaker Karan Johar’s ­college drama, Student of the Year.

Meanwhile, Alia, who has also been seen in films like Highway and 2 States, says that she wants to do a comedy now. “I want to do an out-and-out comedy now,” she says.

Ask her if she is aware of the flood of jokes on her ­general knowledge, across the social media, and she says, “I don’t get upset by the jokes on me. Rather, they entertain me.”
