I use an extremely soft mattress. Hard ones are a complete no-no.

I have to get my eight hours of sleep. Otherwise I’d be cranky all day.

Nothing really, except a good book. That’s something I must have with me.
Do you keep your phone on silent mode at bedtime?
Yes, I put it on silent mode and sometimes even switch it off. It’s such a blessing to be unreachable.
Must you sleep with a light on somewhere?
I like one very dim light on.
