Thesun.co.uk reports that the troubled actress, who featured in films like Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, praised the singer for "just being you and still following through with your dreams."

"I feel like Britney Spears. She is an amazing talent and she has gone through a lot, just as I have in the public eye, which is not necessarily a bad thing," Lohan wrote on her blog.

The actress also recommended Britney's new album to her fans.
