Imagine my surprise when I found my own picture inside Ghajini’s press kit. Beneath that were 15 other snap-shots of the crew members of the film. I flipped my Polaroid around, and there, scribbled in Aamir’s handwriting was a personal note. Not just a “hello, how are you” note, but a real letter.

It spoke about the last time we had met, “I remember meeting you in Delhi when we did a photoshoot ...” and little things he noticed about me. It was an unexpectedly personal gesture — and a very, very clever marketing tactic.
