Identity crisis for Shazahn

When a newcomer bags a debut film with a big banner, it is usually followed with more offers from high profile production houses. Unfortunately, for Shazahn Padamsee, who has been signed opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Rocket Singh, Shimit Amin’s next for Yash Raj, the plum offers has lead to an identity crisis of sorts.
An imposter has created a fake profile of Padamsee on Facebook, and is sending nasty messages to industry professionals on Padamsee’s friends list.
“A couple of my friends informed me that they were getting messages in my name that didn’t reflect the kind of person they knew me to be,” says Padamsee when contacted to confirm the story. “It’s shocking! I don’t know what these filmmakers must have thought when they got those messages. Thank God, they understood my predicament when I explained that an impersonator was up to malicious mischief. I’ve filed an abuse with Facebook and asked them to look into the matter asap.”
Unfortunately for her, the networking site deleted Padamsee’s real account and restarted it again only after she sent them another stinker.
The culprit has been nabbed since but Padamsee is still following up with the Cyber Crime Cell.
