The weather gods shined on thousands of Delhi University aspirants who marched to college campuses on Friday morning.

The weather gods shined on thousands of Delhi University aspirants who marched to college campuses on Friday morning. Applicants swamped the area from 9am, as the sale of admission forms began. Cold drink and ice-cream vendors were seen doing brisk business.

Last year, on Day One, 26,000 forms were sold. This year, the authorities expect to sell 20 per cent more. The excitement of students was palpable. “I always wanted to be in DU, for me the college matters a lot,” said Shruti Kakker, 18. “The weather was good thankfully, so I decided to fill the form today,” Simran Kalra, 18.
