The singer took the stage Sunday to perform for the benefit of 2,000 paediatric cancer survivors for the 18th annual Celebrate Life with Hope event, reported people.com. She performed four songs.

"To be able to give back is my sole purpose in life," said Simpson who came with her father at the event.

The Celebrate Life with Hope event is part of National Cancer Survivors' Day and is the largest such event for paediatric cancer survivors in the Western United States.
