Actor Tom Cruise said he was confused by the repercussion over his erratic behaviour on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006.

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has revealed his bizarre couch jumping incident during an interview with Oprah Winfrey. The actor was reportedly jumping up and down on the couch chair expressing his love for Katie Holmes on the show.

Cruise said he was confused by the repercussion over his erratic behaviour on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006, when he jumped onto Oprah’s on set couch to express his love for Katie.

This incident led to the cancellation of Cruise’s contract with Studio Paramount Pictures after 14 years, reports The Daily Telegraph. “There was a confluence of events,” Cruise told Esquire magazine.

“My deal with Paramount was up and it wasn’t extended. At first it was, Huh? I don’t get it, but people have misconceptions about that whole thing, too,” he said. Cruise said that he was just trying to please the show’s audience.
