Kajol teaches Ajay Marathi

Actor takes half-Maharashtrian wife’s help to learn the language for his role as cop in Singham.

Rohit Shetty’s Singham has been generating a huge buzz everywhere, especially the dialogues of the film. And for lead actor Ajay Devgn’s perfect diction in the film, the credit may very well go to wife Kajol. In some of the scenes, Ajay had to speak in fluent Marathi, and he wanted to make sure that he delivered the dialogue in an authentic Maharashtrian accent. So he turned to his Kajol for help.

Kajol being a half Maharashtrian (her mother Tanuja is Maharashtrian) knew the language very well and jumped in to help her beloved hubby with his dialogues. She taught Ajay a few words and their pronunciations and within minutes, Ajay had perfected the dialogues.
