After winning the Best Actress gong at the Academy Awards, British actress Kate Winslet got so much attention from her well-wishers at the Vanity Fair post-Oscar bash that her husband Sam Mendes took about half-an-hour to reach her.

All the A-list stars, who attended the legendary bash, were seen congratulating the lady of the night, who was still cradling her statue and literally screaming “Wooo” at whoever came to wish her.
So many people crowded ‘The Reader’ star that her hubby Mendes had to wait nearly 30 minutes, before he could bring her to their table.
The actress was so stressed out by the inundation of well-wishers, including Anthony Hopkins and Elton John, that she tripped down a small set of steps.
But Winslet laughed it off when a few guests caught her from falling.
“Did you know there’s a step there? It’s a doozy!” the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.
