Actor Katrina Kaif unveiled the Kat Barbie, becoming the first Bollywood actor to have the iconic doll modelled after her.

Actor Katrina Kaif may hate being called size-zero, but the Barbie doll inspired by her is exactly that. On Monday night in Mumbai, the actor unveiled the Kat Barbie, becoming the first Bollywood actor to have the iconic doll modelled after her.

Though toy company Mattel announced their decision to work with Kat on the doll in March 2009, it took 18 months to create the first doll. “I was excited when I saw it for the first time. I am planning to send the first doll to my sister’s two-and-a-half year old daughter, whose world revolves around Barbie. I want to see what she says after looking at my doll,” said Kat. Currently just a prototype, the doll will hit the market in February 2011.

Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had also been considered for the same, but the deal fell through after Ash reportedly refused.
