Kim?s back, with attitude

After Fida, where she got a hair extension, Kim?s looking forward to the release of Padamshri Laloo Prasad Yadav.

Kareena Kapoor may have hogged the limelight with her evil act in Fida. But Kim Sharma, looking refreshingly ravishing claims to have “returned to films after two years with Fida”.

And the good news is that she hasn’t been ignored, with bits of appreciation falling in her lap. “I worked very hard for my look in Fida. I’m the first one to have got my hair extended for a role. People in India don’t even know what hair extensions are. I exercised a lot for that toned look. My designer and I had to actually break our heads on it! I wanted to do something new and it worked. I’ve been known for pretty much the same look — the sexy, glamorous thing, but I want to experiment.” Phew!

Just in case you haven’t seen the film, she sports long (really long) hair curled towards the end — ala Ash in Kyun! Ho Gaya Na, a tan— immortalised by Sameera Reddy in Darna Mana Hai and lots of skin, as usual. She is quick to add, “for Padamshri Laloo Prasad Yadav, my next release, I will look different again.”

For the last two years, Sharma “had not been taking up much work. I was doing nothing in fact”, she says with some attitude. And after reams of paper were dedicated to her relationship with Yuvraj Singh, she “woke up one morning, wanting to do work”. That’s when Ken Ghosh contacted her and Fida happened. “After Padamshri…’s release, I will be workless again. I’m sure something will come my way.” She feels good to be back. We hope the industry reciprocates.
