Even as actor Konkona Sen Sharma revels in the joy of playing mom to her son Haroon, who arrived on March 15, the glam world rejoices in the bold cover act she was part of, just a few weeks before she gave birth.
The 31-year-old actor bared her heavily-pregnant tummy for the cover shoot of OK! magazine’s latest India edition. The only other Indian actor to have pulled off a similar act is Tara Sharma.
"I’m not the all-embracing Mother Earth type — I don’t squeal over puppies and babies — but everyone’s been telling me it’s a different
story when you have your own," she said in an interview to the glossy.
Koko had given up smoking and drinking during her pregnancy, and said her husband, actor Ranvir Shorey, was very supportive. "Ranvir very sweetly gave up drinking with me. He’d promised to stop smoking too, but then we were both so crabby that he gave up that plan. He has really made a conscious effort to let me have my way and not fight, because we fight terribly otherwise!" she said.
