The best place to ‘eye’ all the birds, today, is an open wild wetland or the Delhi zoo. As the city celebrates the Big Bird Day, bird- watching enthusiasts are welcome to map the city’s hot spots to catch sight of as many species of birds as possible.

Organised by the group delhibird, the much-anticipated event is an annual meeting point of eager bird watchers.
Nikhil Devasar, the founder of the group, says, “This is one of our biggest events and we will have over 10 teams going to different places around Delhi for birding. At the end of the day, we will compile a list of the total number of species spotted. In 2007, a total of 188 species was spotted.”
The teams will start at designated spots and then move on to other places on the list. One can even do birding at their favourite spot and then pass on the details to delhibird. Well, there’s nothing to hold you back. Chalo bird dekhein.
