According to sources, the Rolling In The Deep hit-maker, who won an Academy Award, Golden Globe and a BRIT for Skyfall, is one of the few artists who were asked to write and record the title track for Spectre, reported the Daily Star.

The insider noted that Sam Smith was the favourite to be picked among insiders, but the 27-year-old singer has got the nod, adding that it is huge pressure for her after the unbelievable success of Skyfall.

As per the source, the song will also be a massive scoop for the Skyfall sequel as the world awaits her third hugely-delayed album.
