This one is for the boys... an extension of the ‘Sister Series’ of sorts. It was a thought that was triggered when I was away in my ‘birthday girlie getaway’. As usual, one of the main topics when we girls get together is "men" and since it was my birthday, the conversation veered towards how disappointing men are, on important days like these. So I thought is my responsibility to educate you guys on how to get it right, because... admit it... you fail miserably every single time!

So here it is... the Chopra Checklist:

Remember the date—It’s the most critical part but somehow the biggest problem! Modern technology has given you so many ways to remind yourself — email, phone alarm etc.

Go beyond the clichés—Honestly, just lock yourself up somewhere for 20 minutes and think of things that will make her happy. If flowers make her happy, look beyond the ordinary... instead of just one bouquet, send her a bunch of roses on the hour for as many hours as you can afford!

Priyanka ChopraInvolve her friends—You must know by now that we girls love our BFFs and share everything with them. Take a hint, do the same. Even if your plan for the day doesn’t involve them, just let them into the planning process and seek their opinion. They will give you great ideas.

Make time for her—On that special day, put the phones and laptops aside and just concentrate on her. Make her feel like the most important person in your universe. She deserves it.

Ladies, I’m not selling out... it’s just that I see so many birthdays ruined because the guys mess up... so I thought it’s best to try and make things better. Win-win for all.. what say?

Since we are on the topic of birthdays... I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful wishes. In my birthday excitement, I dropped my phone in the ocean (don’t ask)... so here’s sending a big shout out to them as well.
