Grigorieva’s lawyers told a Los Angeles court that Gibson had been violent towards her. The court prohibited him from having any contact with Grigorieva, but modified it so he could see their daughter. Gibson’s affair with Grigorieva led to the end of his 29-year-long marriage with wife

Robyn in 2009, with whom he has seven children. The wedlock was severed after it was revealed that Grigorieva was pregnant.
