The ceremony started with the bride’s friends Mallika Bhatt and Arpita Khan walking to the aisle, followed by her best friend Kareena Kapoor with the best man. Next in line were Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan, Amu’s sister and brother-in-law. Then came Amrita herself with her parents. The wedding was attended by 150 guests.

Amrita wore a vintage gown with antique Dior lace, created by Ashley Rebello. Kareena, Mallika and Arpita, the bridesmaids, and Malaika, the maid of honour, wore Grecian gowns by Rebello.

Rebello says, “The night before the wedding, we had a fitting session to see that nothing goes wrong.”

The couple took their vows inside a cabana made of white flowers. Amu, however, did not say ‘I do’ in the usual way. She chose her own words: “I just want to say that I am ready to spend the rest of my life with you. No matter what anyone says, I have made up my mind that it’s you.”
