Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey has revealed that he took his time to get married. "I had to get to the point where I saw it as more than just the thing to do. I wanted to really want to," he said about his marriage to model Camila Alves.

Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey reveals he took his time to get married. McConaughey, 44, married his model love Camila Alves, 32, in June 2012 and the couple share three children, reported Us magazine.

The actor said after becoming a father one tends to be responsible. "Never is a man more of a man than when he is the father of a newborn. Whatever decisions you make in the first six months of becoming a father, double down on them. I mean, you're meeting the Courier. You're meeting the Shepherd, the Future Prince. You immediately have something you don't have to think about. You know what's important," he added.
