Two Delhiites have come out with a manner guide for their fellow citizens.

A slim volume on manners, co-authored by Magsaysay awardee Kiran Bedi and TV host Pavan Choudhary, Broom Groom is for those Delhiites who take delight in peeing on streets and honking at traffic lights. We present ten don’ts from it. If followed, at least during the Commonwealth Games, foreigners will go home with a not-so-bad impression of us Delhiites.

Do not smoke, chew/spit paan (betel leaf) during office hours
Do not pester foreigners
Do not pounce on celebrities
Do not dry your clothes from the apartment balcony
Do not ogle at co-passengers in the elevator
Do not be disrespectful towards your house help
Do not forget to trim your nasal hair, hairs at the ears or back of the nape
Do not snoop over reading material or laptop screens of others
If you ask someone for directions, please thank him even if the help extended by him has not been of use to you
Do not touch the private parts of your body in public
