Even a single smoking scene in a film should attract an ‘A’ certificate — that’s the latest circular that the Government has sent to the Censor Board. But the Board, which has been repeatedly criticised by filmmakers for being too strict, is reportedly not willing to give into govt dictum this time. Board chief Sharmila Tagore wants a debate on the matter with producers and directors before the order is passed.
