Oprah Winfrey sued

Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has been reportedly sued for trademark infringement over her use of the catchphrase "Own Your Power".

Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has been reportedly sued for trademark infringement over her use of the catchphrase "Own Your Power".

Dailystar.co.uk reports that Simone Kelly-Brown, CEO, Own Your Power Communications, Inc. insists that she had created the acronym OYP.

Kelly-Brown also claims to have registered to obtain exclusive ownership of the motivational slogan at the US Patent and Trademark Office in New Jersey, Thursday.

A spokesperson for Winfrey's Harpo Productions said: "Harpo has not been served and we have no information about what allegations are being made."
