Padma awards go filmy

Stars shine in the Capital to receive the prestigious honour.

While actor Kajol was in the Capital on Friday to receive the Padma Shri from President Pratibha Patil, actor-hubby Ajay Devgn took a break from work and baby-sat kids Nysa and Yug.

Dressed in a peacock blue sari, Kajol attended the event with sister Tanisha and mother Tanuja in tow. The award ceremony, attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Vice President Hamid Ansari, was held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan where 64 eminent personalities were handed out the coveted awards.

Singer Usha Uthup and actor Irrfan Khan also received the Padma Shri and veteran actor Shashi Kapoor was honoured with the Padma Bhushan. Last week, actor Tabu received the Padma Shri from the president.
