The 39-year-old, who gave birth three months ago, briefly allowed her "miracle" baby to appear with a nanny at the Blossom Ball at the New York Public Library.
The 'Top Chef' host who remained on the arm of billionaire Teddy Forstmann all night introduced Krishna to some of her closest friends, reported New York Post online.
"Everybody was saying she's every bit as gorgeous as Padma. But she would not allow any pictures of Krishna," said a source close to Lakshmi, who was earlier married to Booker Prize winning author Salman Rushdie.
The South Indian beauty who suffers from endometriosis, a condition which causes infertility recalled that the doctors told her that she could never get pregnant.
But she conceived Lakshmi with venture capitalist Adam Dell, with whom she had a brief relationship last year.
But her long-term partner Forstmann has been totally supportive and she publicly thanked, acknowledging their romance for the first time.
"I am lucky to have someone who unwaveringly gave me love and is also the person that I love. So thank you, Teddy," she said in her speech.
