Socialite Paris Hilton has settled a lawsuit she had filed against greeting cards manufacturer Hallmark for allegedly using her image without permission.

The hotel heiress sued bosses at the firm in 2007 claiming they used her picture and her catchphrase, "That's Hot!", on a card which was captioned "Paris's First Day as a Waitress", reports dailystar.co.uk.

Hilton was expected to battle it out with Hallmark heads in court December, but last week lawyers for both sides told a California judge they had reached a settlement.

The details of the agreement have not been released.
