The Beatles legend is urging the US space agency’s bosses to withdraw financial support for radiation testing conducted on spider monkeys. He has convinced NASA bosses to look for a more animal-friendly solution.

“I believe NASA has the ingenuity to investigate the health effects of space travel without confining and experimenting on animals,” the Daily Star quoted him as telling NASA Administrator, Charles Bolden, in a letter.
