Sridevi has now proved herself as a pro with the paintbrush too.
While her acting prowess has been established beyond doubt, Sridevi has now proved herself as a pro with the paintbrush, too. The actress paints as a hobby and a painting by her is set to be auctioned at one of the world’s biggest auction houses, Christie’s. The bid is expected to fetch $50,000. (Rs 22,24,000)

Sridevi’s husband producer Boney Kapoor says, “This is a great moment. The painting will be auctioned at Christie’s Green auction and the money will go to charity. This is the first time the world will get a glimpse of her paintings.” A New York-based friend of the couple helped work everything out. “We sent a preview of her work and they chose this piece. The auction will start at $50,000,” Kapoor says.
“She had put painting on hold for some time. Then she saw Salman Khan painting on the sets of Wanted and he encouraged her to start painting again. She even gifted the first painting she made to him,” he adds. Asked when Sridevi will make her comeback to movies, he says, “Whenever Mr India 2 gets made, she’ll be part of it. Salman will play a negative role, but not that of Mogambo since he dies in the first film.”
