Dinner with family; guess who’s sitting at the next table... the IPL cricketers!

Dinner with family; guess who’s sitting at the next table... the IPL cricketers!

My mom got excited and since she isn’t an actor, she couldn’t conceal it. Half the dinner was spent discussing when the right time to ask for a picture would be. I finally volunteered to make my mom’s evening, walked up to the captain, and asked if my mom could have a picture with him. Guess what he asked for in return? My BB pin!

I pulled out a new dress to look my best today because I had three important auditions! Two were for hair ads! So I spent an hour doing my hair... I went in telling myself that I had to crack something today.

I first went to an audition for a supporting role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine. I spotted a familiar face in the waiting room. A friend of mine, Kirti, who just completed her film

. I gave the audition, but I realised something was missing. I called Kirti for feedback. “Always give your audition like you are shooting the final scene on set,” she said.

#Words of wisdom. I went home with a bad feeling about the film audition.

I was selected! For the shampoo and hair colour ad! Monday must have been a good hair day!

#Good news. I finally have to shoot for only one because of clashing interests, but who’s complaining?

Negotiations! I was lucky I had an agency to talk the talk for me. They handled the quotations for a two-day shoot, and broadcast rights for two years.

#Money Matters. Then I got a call from the stylist: “Hi, we need to meet you for clothes trials, I’m busy with Lolo, so my assistant will call you.” LOLO?

The stylist’s assistant fixed a meeting point. She pulled up in her car, which happens to be a silver sports Mercedes!

It’s pretty unlikely for a stylist’s assistant to be in anything but a rickshaw filled with shopping bags, so don’t blame me for assuming! #Pleasant surprises. We spent all day around Bandra looking for the perfect outfit. Might sound like fun, but it was absolutely harrowing getting in and out of a million outfits.

#Trial and (T)error!

I guess the clothes would’ve been brought to me had I been Lolo!
