Pooja Bedi agrees that Adnan Sami should stay single at least for the next two years. “He committed the same mistake twice. But now, we will not let him. I just had a conversation with him today and told him that he must not get into a relationship now for a couple of years. But when he does, all of us, his friends, family and I will sit down with a 100 point questionnaire and interview the girl. Once we give our verdict, then he can be with her,” said Bedi.

Bedi says she has known Adnan for ten years and that their relationship was never a bone of contention between him and Sabah ever before. “It is strange that Sabah only decided to question our frienship now, after their separation.”

She further says that Sabah is trying to implicate her in this legal tangle because her case must be very weak. “Otherwise, why would she question a friendship that she was okay with earlier.”

She shows us where Sabah allegedly scratched her. “After she assaulted me I realised that she wanted me to retaliate but I did not. That is when she scratched me too.”

Pooja says that Sabah has always been uncomfortable with Adnan’s family, “She was very unhappy when uncle [Adnan’s father] came to live with him. In fact, recently Adnan’s 14-year-old son, Azaan came up to me and said, ‘Pooja aunty, do not worry. She is like this, she even tried to throw me out. Do not feel bad about all this. I have become used to it now.”

“I am ready to get scratched again and again but that will not stop me from going to visit his family,” she says.
