Priyanka got three seconds to react

'Open the door in three seconds or we barge in.' Actor Priyanka Chopra was greeted by these words on Monday, when Income Tax officials barged into her Versova residence to conduct a raid at 7:30 in the morning.



A source present in the house (who did not wish to be named) reveals that the officials rang the door bell and banged the door repeatedly sending Priyanka and actor Shahid Kapoor, who was present in the house, in a tizzy.



When Priyanka's domestic help opened the door, the officials ran in different directions of the apartment. Some allegedly charged towards the actor's room and screamed, 'Open the door in three seconds or we barge in’.

"Priyanka had just woken up then, while Shahid was washing his face in the bathroom, dressed in pyjamas. The actors opened the door, after which their phones were taken away and the house raided. Priyanka was quite shaken up but Shahid stayed there till the end, as against reports that he left immediately after the raid started. He took his first call past seven thirty in the evening," adds the source.



The source says that the officials, while going through the house rummaged through her wardrobe including her lingerie drawer.

The officials refused to take calls regarding the raids and their PA said that "they were not talking to the press".

Earlier Additional Director (Investigation), AK Singh said that they are verifying the obtained documents.
