In what is perhaps a first, actor Arunoday Singh may have been banned from entering a Pune college ever again. On Friday, the actor, visited the Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication (UG), Pune, to promote his film Yeh Saali Zindagi with co-star Chitrangada Singh and film-maker Sudhir Mishra. At the event, Arunoday, last seen in the film Aisha, smooched a female student on stage, incurring the wrath of college authorities.
“Arunoday said he would kiss any girl who came on stage, and he really did. The college authorities were furious. They told some members of the unit that he would never be allowed on the campus again,” said an eyewitness.
The college authorities have refused to reveal the name of the girl or comment on the matter. A source close to Sudhir Mishra reveals that the authorities even called and had a word with the film-maker on Friday morning as the news spread.
The actor, however, defends his actions. “The emcee asked me if it is true that I kiss my girlfriend in the film to calm her? I said yes, it is the best way to calm a girl down. He said that doesn’t work, and I said, of course it does, and I can prove it if any girl comes on stage. This girl came onto the stage and I gave her a nice, wet one. She was very sweet and the whole crowd was screaming. I didn’t even
know that there was a problem,” he says.
