Recognise me, twitter?
B-Town siren Sameera Reddy vents about not having a verified Twitter account.
Be it her role as the bimbette Mini in

Race
or the naxalite Lakshmi in
Red Alert – The War Within
, actress Sameera Reddy manages to make heads turn. But, Reddy maintains that her de-glam role for the latter isn’t as big a deal as is being made out to be.
“To begin with, it wasn’t a conscious decision to shed any image. Though people may think glamorous roles are easy, trust me — they are not. Who says playing a dumb bimbo in
Race
was an easy task?” she says.

One of the several celebs addicted to the Twitterverse, Reddy seems to be enjoying her stint with the micro-blogging site, barring one problem: “Twitter is an interactive platform, but I have one complaint from the Twitter management — they have not verified me yet. There are so many celebs, such as Dia Mirza, who have less followers than me, but are still verified. I don’t understand why they are not verifying me?”
The actress admits she’s been working out to get back in shape. “I underwent rigorous workout and lost eight kgs. I quite like it now. To be honest, I don’t believe in being a bag of bones.”
Talking about her future projects, Reddy says, “My next release is Nagesh Kukunoor’s
Yeh Hausla
, in which I play a fiery Rajasthani woman.” However, she doesn’t disclose whether she’s a part of
Race 2
. What she’s keen on, though, is playing a double role: “I’d love to play a double role in a film... something like
Khoon Bhari Maang
.”
Ask her if she sees herself on the director’s chair one day and she replies, “Though I have thought about it, but everytime the answer is a ‘no’. So, I don’t think I will be able to be on the director’s seat.”
