symbol on her chest, angering religious groups.

The Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) says that the act is “sacrilege” and “hurtful to the sentiments of the community.”

Ek Onkar

is the most sacred in our religion. This girl has made a mockery of it. We will not tolerate such disrespect,” says Harchint Singh of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal).

The group wants Bhatia, herself a Sikh practitioner, to apologise publicly, even as the host channel, UTV Bindass, has issued an apology. “Even Mandira Bedi apologised for her religious tattoo,” he adds. Bhatia did not respond to calls and messages.
