Sanjay Dutt, who is currently serving five year sentence for possessing illegal weapons during the 1993 blasts, have been appealing to the court for an early release. The latest news is that the Supreme Court has now dismissed Dutt's curative petition, which was filed after the dismissal of the review petition. A curative petition is filed only after a review petition is dismissed and the petition is discussed only amidst the presence of handful of judges and not in an open court. For Sanjay Dutt, this could be the last legal option. He is currently imprisoned in Yerawada Jail and his wife Manyata Dutt is currently handling the actor's production house and films.
