Setting the stage ablaze

Star performers make the IIFA awards a memorable affair.

This year’s IIFA awards may not have been a star-studded affair, but performances by actors such as Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan and Salman Khan did manage to salvage the situation and make up for the absence of other big names.

The opening act was by actress Jacqueline Fernandes. Sallu, who was in a groovy mood, started his act from the green carpet itself, while Govinda and Anil Kapoor joined him on the stage.

Hrithik sang as well as danced to songs from Kites. Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi and Bipasha Basu also delivered hit performances. Meanwhile, Lara Dutta, Boman Irani and Riteish Deshmukh were busy playing hosts.
