A source close to Samantha was quoted by a daily saying, “The whole experience has been painful for her. It’s probable that she’ll just focus on her career right now and it’s highly unlikely that she’ll be in any relationship soon. Because this is the end of a very solid, long-term relationship. She will take time to recover,” said a source close to Samantha.”
Samantha was not happy after the daily described her as "distraught" and "painful". She took to Twitter to clear the situation, “The article in the DC makes me look like the victim.I am not. Siddharth is a great guy. Media stop taking sides. This is personal. STOP."
Sam and Sid started dating while shooting for their film Jabardust. The couple never openly admitted to their relationship, but were often seen together at events.
