US singers Katy Perry and Rihanna became close friends after Rihanna said that boyfriend singer Chris Brown beat her up. Perry contacted Rihanna after the beating incident in February. She has now become a support for Rihanna and also takes her out to have fun, thesun.co.uk reports.
A source said: "Katy was there when Rihanna needed her the most and as terrible as the stuff with Chris is, at least one good thing has come of it. Both of them have had man troubles recently so they are enjoying having some girlie time."
The two are now even trying to rearrange their schedules to get away for a trip to Puerto Rico.
