SRK gets traditional welcome

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is in New Zealand on an entertainment world tour, was greeted by the New Zealand Prime Minister John Key on Thursday (October 4) night.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is in New Zealand on an entertainment world tour, was greeted by the New Zealand Prime Minister John Key on Thursday (October 4) night. He was given a traditional Maori welcome and presented with an official New Zealand Black Caps cricket shirt in recognition of his love of the game.

“The Honourable PM Mr John Key gave us such a warm welcome. Thank u all… (sic),” writes SRK, as part of a message posted on his Twitter account. He also tweets about the preparation for the show. “Rehearsals on still. Had too much fun...Honey Singh did his rap for all of us. Too much fun with Madhuri, Rani and Jaqueline (sic).”

After returning from this tour, Shah Rukh will start work on the second schedule of Farah Khan’s upcoming film, Happy New Year.
