Shah Rukh Khan leads Bollywood in paying tax too. He has paid Rs 27 crore as advance tax for the current financial year (2007-2008) till December end. This is for the first three quarters of the current financial year.
Khan was also the highest taxpayer among actors during the last financial year (April 2006-March 2007) when he paid Rs 18 crore.

Aamir Khan-Rs 3 crore:Tax officials believe his earnings from Taare Zameen Par would add a big amount to the tax kitty in the fourth quarter. In the last financial year he had paid Rs 6 crore in tax.
Himesh Reshammiya-Rs 2.5 crore:Tax guys expect the amount to go up with the singer signing a number of contracts and trying his acting talents. In the last financial year he had paid Rs 4.5 crore.
