Today, the feisty Kajol turns 35. When asked about her birthday plans, the actress, who will be next seen in Karan Johar’s

, says that it’s going to be a quiet affair with the family gathering together for lunch. While sister Tanishaa has already revealed momma Tanuja’s plans of having the Maharashtrian traditional
dhole
(equivalent of the
godh-bharai)
ceremony, she herself isn’t too forthcoming.
Despite being pressured, she maintains, “It will still be a small affair at home with my parents and close family coming over for lunch.” Since Tanuja is a Maharashtrian, she, reportedly, has planned a
puja
ceremony for Kajol and will gift her a sari as per the custom.
The celebrations will continue later in the evening, with Kajol cutting a fruitcake, which Tanishaa is planning to bake especially for her sister.
Interestingly, till a few years ago, the two sisters would have long elaborate discussions on their birthday cakes. Remind her of that and Kajol recalls, “Yeah, and then we’d tell the guy to ensure that the cake turned out exactly as we wanted. Now, we’re more concerned with what it tastes like.”
Kajol also received a funky necklace with lava rocks by Tanishaa, which she picked up from Greece recently.
On being probed as to what hubby Ajay Devgn is gifting her, she replies that she hasn’t asked him for anything yet. “The best gift is coming this October,” she says, of their second baby. As for the couple’s seven-year-old daughter Nysa, she says, “She too is thrilled to have a younger sibling.”
