Actress Koena Mitra’s on her long-distance relationship, upcoming films, and more.entertainment Updated: Mar 31, 2010 01:04 IST
“When you fall in love, you don’t plan that ahead in future,” she says. “I’m what I am because of being an Indian. I became a supermodel and actress here. I can’t leave all this to settle at home.” But Koena is also aware about her lover’s life. “His career and family are in Turkey and can’t ask him to come here. So, we are happy in this long-distance relationship,” she says.
In town to attend the recently concluded Fashion Week, Koena is currently busy hunting for a suitable location to open her pet boutique in Mumbai. The actress, who has eight dogs, says, “It’ll have a spa for cats and dogs. I’ll provide vegetable dyes to get your pet’s hair coloured. And it’s absolutely harmless.” Not only this, but the spa will also import special dog curries from Europe, in different flavours of milk, mutton, chicken etc, Koena informs.
In her upcoming flick, Koena would be seen as a bar dancer. “I’m doing a film where I’m projecting the life of a bar dancer after the bars were shut down in Mumbai. For the first time I’ll be playing a Bengali girl’s character,” she says. “Then there’s a rom-com with director Sanjeev Puri and an English action thriller Karna, which is 40 per cent complete,” Koena adds.
