Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain actor Aasif Sheikh says he is ‘still limping, unable to put foot on floor’

Television star Aasif Sheikh collapsed on the sets of Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain! due to sciatic pain, leaving fans concerned. He is still in recovery mode.

Television star Aasif Sheikh recently collapsed on the sets of his upcoming film Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain! and that has left his fans worried. The actor was shooting since a month in Dehradun and collapsed due to sciatic pain. He is still in recovery mode and is not able to put his foot on the floor. ‘I am not able to put my foot on the floor’

Talking about his fall, in an interview with The Times of India, the actor said, "It was the second last day of the shoot. I took heavy painkillers and shot for the last few scenes. Since I couldn't stand and walk, I came back to Mumbai in a wheelchair. I am on painkillers and steroids and now I am due to for an MRI today. I have been on bed rest ever since I returned to Mumbai. I am slowly recovering. I am not able to put my foot on the floor and I am still limping."

Aasif is mourning the demise of friend-writer Manoj Santoshi

Apart from this physical setback, the actor also opened up about his emotional blow due to the sudden demise of his writer friend Manoj Santoshi. Manoj died due to a liver-related complication on Monday. "I lost a very good friend. My relationship with Manoj Santoshi, goes several years back. He was a great talent, a great writer. He has left a big void in my life," the actor said.

He is well-known for his roles in television series such as Yes Boss, Dill Mill Gayye and Chidiya Ghar. He has also appeared in several Bollywood films, including Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Jodi No.1, Karan Arjun, Ek Phool Teen Kante, and Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar among others.

He is currently part of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain!, one of India's longest-running comedy sitcoms. The show also stars Rohitash Gaud, Shubhangi Atre, and Vidisha Srivastava in key roles. It is available to watch on &TV and ZEE5.
